Andrea Corbett is a warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed therapist who believes healing begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. With more than 20 years of experience working in healthcare, Andrea brings a unique perspective to therapy—one that recognizes the deep connection between emotional and physical well-being and the ways trauma can affect both the mind and body.
Andrea earned her bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University and is currently completing her Master of Social Work at Walden University, with a clinical focus in trauma-informed care. Her clinical training includes EMDR Basic Training, Complex PTSD, Cognitive Processing Therapy, trauma-related dissociation, motivational interviewing, substance use disorders, and domestic and intimate partner violence. She is also a Certified End-of-Life Doula, an experience that has deepened her understanding of grief, loss, life transitions, and the importance of compassionate support during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Andrea especially enjoys working with women who are healing from trauma or complex trauma, survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, individuals navigating medical trauma or chronic illness, and those struggling with anxiety, depression, self-worth, boundaries, or identity. She is particularly passionate about supporting women who have spent years caring for everyone else and are finally learning that they deserve care, too.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, honest, strengths-based, and empowering. Andrea believes that clients are the experts on their own lives, and she sees her role as walking alongside them—not “fixing” them. Together, she helps clients better understand their experiences, recognize the ways trauma may be influencing their nervous system and daily lives, reconnect with their strengths, and develop greater confidence in themselves.
Andrea is especially passionate about trauma and complex trauma healing, women’s mental health, medical trauma and medical gaslighting, nervous system regulation, domestic violence and sexual assault recovery, shame resilience, attachment and healthy relationships, grief, and breaking generational cycles. She is also deeply committed to empowering women through education and advocacy, particularly within healthcare settings where clients may have experienced feeling dismissed, unheard, or misunderstood.
“Healing begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood.”
Andrea was adopted from Canada and raised in Orem, Utah. She now lives in Eagle Mountain with her husband. Outside of therapy, Andrea enjoys reading everything from psychology and trauma research to romance novels. She has judged Miss America Organization pageants throughout Utah for more than a decade and loves mentoring young women as they grow in confidence and leadership.
Andrea is also the creator of Echoes of Empathy, a blog centered on empathy, compassion, and helping people feel seen, heard, and valued. She is currently launching a podcast, Life Sucks…Then You Die, where people can share honest stories of hardship, resilience, healing, and hope.
Whether you’re navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, a difficult life transition, or simply trying to understand yourself more deeply, Andrea strives to make therapy a place where you don’t have to pretend everything is okay. Her hope is that clients leave each session feeling heard, understood, supported, and a little lighter than when they arrived.
Andrea’s goal is simple: to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can take a deep breath, let your guard down, and begin reconnecting with yourself.
